The aim of ARCADIA SIT is to provide quality, certified and structured data, in order to build a reliable information system. Our company also provides services for customization and implementation of solutions tailored to the customer.
The data provided, often heterogeneous and difficult to handle due to the lack of a defined standard, are verified at their entry and during this phase the most significant datasets are identified.
In relation to the achievement of the fixed objective, they then undergo a normalization process, which eliminates redundancies and manages any encoding problems.
All information is organized in a database, in the form of objects, and responds to a structure called a “scheme”. The latter can be expanded or modified to meet new functional requirements.
The data, once rendered uniform, are structured within the geodatabase.
ARCADIA SIT prefers and promotes the use of open-source databases, such as:
It also adheres to the main national and international standards such as INTESA-GIS and INSPIRE.
The databases are organized into tables that include both vector and alphanumeric cartographic elements and the information is managed via relational links between the various tables.
All processes are developed with the aim of guaranteeing data integrity and security, also thanks to a scrupulous observance of ISO procedures.
